Fortbildung Contact Improvisation Hamburg 2019/20

In unserer Fortbildung geht es darum, den intensiven Lernprozess eines Workshops über einen längeren Zeitraum kontinuierlich in einer Gruppe zu teilen und dadurch Qualität und Tiefe in der tänzerischen Entwicklung, sowie in der Begegnung im Tanz zu ermöglichen.
Die Fortbildung bietet die Möglichkeit, sich inhaltlich systematisch mit vertrauten Menschen mit dem Phänomen Contact Improvisation auseinanderzusetzen, spürend somatisch und technisch präzise zu arbeiten und vielschichtig in der eigenen Weiterentwicklung im Tanz unterstützt zu werden.
Im technischen Teil unserer Fortbildung arbeiten wir u.a. in Kleingruppen, um ‚Werkzeuge‘ und Material für TänzerInnen mit unterschiedlichen Vorerfahrungen anbieten zu können und Raum für individuelle Lernthemen und -bedürfnisse zu schaffen. Dabei ist uns eine Balance zwischen Technikarbeit als Entwicklung einer gemeinsamen, differenzierten Sprache und dem Eintauchen in den Dialog im Tanz, in das freie improvisatorische Spiel wichtig.
Spannend ist für uns zu beobachten, wie die Wahrnehmung und das Gefühl innerhalb der Gruppe sich verändern, – wie beeinflusst die Sensibilität und das Zuhören aus der Contact Improvisation unsere Interaktion, unsere Kommunikation und unsere Art in einem längeren Arbeitsprozess miteinander umzugehen?
Unsere Fortbildung Hamburg soll eine Fortsetzung ermöglichen und baut auf dem Material und der Erfahrung des letzten Zyklusses auf. Sie bietet die Möglichkeit mit einer gemeinsamen Basis zusammen zu lernen und sich weiterzuentwickeln. Sie möchte außerdem Menschen einladen hinzuzukommen, die solide Vorkenntnisse in CI mitbringen und an diesem Format interessiert sind. Uns ist es wichtig Inspirierendes und Herausforderndes anzubieten und gleichzeitig einen entspannten Einstieg für Hinzukommende zu ermöglichen.

Elske & Daniel
Daniel und Elske sind beide global vernetzte und international engagierte Contact Tänzer, Performer und Lehrer. Sie verbindet eine jahrelange Freundschaft, unzählige Jams und gemeinsame Tänze und die unablässige Forschungslust an der Contact Improvisation. 2003 co-gründeten sie die ContAct Dance Company, die sich mit Contact Improvisation als Ausgangspunkt für Performancearbeit auseinandersetzte.
Daniels Lehrtätigkeit ist geprägt von seiner Leidenschaft, diese Tanzform und ihre grundlegenden Prinzipien systematisch zu begreifen (siehe CI Fortbildung Berlin). Für Elske bedeutet Contact Improvisation zu unterrichten, „den Boden dafür zu legen, dass dieser Tanz geschehen kann.“
Sie teilen ein besonderes Interesse für die Entwicklung von Formaten (Festivals, Workshops, Jams), in denen CI in seiner Tiefe erforscht, vielschichtig entwickelt und gelebt werden kann, z.B. Contact Festival Fuerteventura, Nordsee CI Camp St Peter Ording.
Daniel Werner studierte Zeitgenössischen Tanz am North Karelia College in Finnland und genießt es, international als Tänzer und Tanzpädagoge zu arbeiten. Wesentliche Einflüsse für seine Tätigkeit kommen aus dem Body-Mind Centering, Release-Techniken und asiatischen Bewegungs-künsten. Zusammen mit Jörg Hassmann arbeitet er seit 2006 an der Erforschung, Beschreibung und Systematisierung der grundlegenden Prinzipien der Contact Improvisation, siehe www.dancecontact.de.

Elske Seidel unterrichtet seit weit über 2 Jahrzehnten kontinuierlich und von ganzem Herzen Tanz, CI seit 2004. Die Basis für ihren Unterricht bildet das Studium in Hamburg mit dem Forschungsschwerpunkt „Das Wesen von Tanz und seine Vermittlung“. Sie kommt ursprünglich aus Hamburg, lebte und tanzte in Kanada und den Vereinigten Staaten, dann in Berlin und folgt ihrem Interesse an Bewegungsforschung, Kooperation und Austausch. Sie kreiert mit Vorliebe CI Projekte die Gemeinschaft unterstützen und Studiofokus und Naturarbeit miteinander verbinden (Contact Festival Fuerteventura & Nordsee CI Camp St Peter Ording). Sie liebt Forschung & Jammen und öffnet dafür den Raum in folgenden Projekten: Dance Your Questions: CI Research Week for Experienced Contact Dancers / Arlequi/ Spanien, ECITE (European Contact Improvisation Teachers Exchange) / Ponderosa / D, Berlin Weekend Jam, Contact Samstage Berlin and 23stunden Jam Berlin.

CI Training Program Hamburg (Germany) 2019/20

In our CI Training Program we wish to take the intensive experience of a workshop into a longer process, opening a field of continuous learning, relating and dancing with each other in an on-going group. We want to offer a space to develop our moving body, deepen our understanding and personal journey into this dance through a longer period of time.
This CI Training Program creates the opportunity to study Contact Improvisation systematically and continuously with a group of people we come to trust. It offers precise technique, somatic movement research (learning from within) and support for the individual learning process.
In the technical part of our investigation, we will work in smaller groups in order to offer ‚tools’ and material for people with different levels of experience. We seek to create space for individual interests and needs. In our work it is important to us to maintain the balance between a technical exploration as a development of a mutual language and the freedom of speaking this language – dancing – communicating, improvising, playing freely in dance.
We are interested in how awareness, trust and feeling within the group will change, develop and grow – how is our communication, our interaction and our actual way of being together influenced by our dance practice and our time together?
This year we are excited to offer an ‘open continuation’ which will build on the experience and material of the previous CI Training Program in Hamburg. We want to create the opportunity to learn and play with a group of people sharing a common knowledge of CI. At the same time we would like to invite people who are interested in this kind of learning environment. We would like to offer inspiration and new material for dancers with more experience as well as opening an easy and welcoming entry for those who come in freshly.

Daniel and Elske share many years of friendship, uncountable jams and dances. Their mutual fascination for Contact Improvisation provides the center in both their lives. In 2003 they co-founded the ContAct Dance Company, investigating CI as a source for performance work, with a special interest in site-specific art. Both work as independent artists, somatic movement researchers and dancers; both have extensive experience in teaching CI internationally, as well as organizing and facilitating large CI events. They are co-organizers of both the Contact Festival Fuerteventura, since 2009, and the North Sea CI Camp. www.canarian.contactfestival.info
In cooperating for the Training Program in Hamburg they wish to combine their creative energy and interests, support and inspire each other and every single one coming.
Daniel Werner studied Dance, Contact Improvisation, Body-Mind Centering and other Somatic Methods and Practises with various teachers, and works internationally in this field since ´97 as a dancer, teacher and director. He graduated in contemporary dance at the North Karelia College in Finland. Furthermore he is a teacher for Qigong and Tai Chi in the line of Master Mantak Chia.

Elske Seidel based in Berlin, is a passionate CI dancer & teacher, deeply committed to CI and its community internationally. She has been teaching dance full time and wholeheartedly for over two decades, CI since 2004.
Her boundless fascination and joy exploring and researching Contact Improvisation in all its depth and subtleties, inspires her workshops, privates, ongoing classes, and each of the projects she creates.
Her work recognizes nature, improvisation and teaching itself as core sources for knowledge and understanding.
Meeting the moment, she offers organic support for the individual and the instant community as it emerges, allowing each to feel, find and follow what they need to learn and dance.
She is the artistic director of the Annual Contact Festival Fuerteventura/ Spain and co-creates Dance Your Question: CI Research Week for Experienced Contact Dancers, CI Training Program Hamburg/ Germany, CI Workshop Series BASICS in Hamburg/ Germany and Nature as Teacher Workshops.
